In mid-2018, we delivered a full turnkey 18000BPH bottled water line for a first-time producer in California. The client came from the food distribution industry, with established retail and convenience store networks across the West Coast, and this was their first step into building their own bottled water brand. The line is built to run four PET bottle formats — 350ml, 500ml, 1L and 1.5L — to cover different retail scenarios.
They chose to launch their plant in California to tap into fast-growing demand for local, trusted packaged drinking water. As first-time manufacturers, they had two core concerns going in: first, making sure every part of production meets FDA and California state bottled water safety standards; second, running multiple bottle sizes smoothly without a steep learning curve for their team.
They didn’t want to juggle separate suppliers for water treatment, filling and packaging. They picked us to handle the whole project end to end — from workshop layout to staff training — so they could focus on getting their brand to market.
Our engineers sent over a detailed CAD layout with exact requirements for power, water lines and equipment foundations, so the space was built to fit the line perfectly with no last-minute rework.
For compliance, all water-contact parts use 316L stainless steel with food-grade seals, and the line comes with a full CIP (clean-in-place) system to meet FDA sanitation rules. We also designed the line for quick format changess, no special tools needed.
We ran full performance tests at our Zhangjiagang factory before shipping, and the client joined a live video FAT to check speed, accuracy and overall operation. The equipment shipped to the Port of Los Angeles and arrived at their plant on schedule.
Our field engineer spent four weeks on site for installation, commissioning and hands-on training. Since the team had never run an automated filling line before, we walked them through every routine — daily startup, regular maintenance, basic troubleshooting — until they were comfortable running the line on their own.
Since going live, the line has run steadily at 18000BPH for 500ml bottles. Filling accuracy stays consistent across all four sizes, and the quick changeover lets them switch SKUs easily to match retail orders. Their products have passed local health inspections and are already on shelves at regional grocery stores.
